Our Mission
At Peaceful Minds Haven, our mission is to transform maternal mental health by centering culturally responsive care and whole-family wellness for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. Through our Whole-Family Wellness & Healing Model, we provide support for mothers during pregnancy, after birth, and throughout the first three years postpartum, while also addressing the wellness of fathers and partners to ensure every family member is seen, supported, and empowered to heal. Rooted in cultural humility and lived experience, our work includes therapeutic support, community-based healing practices, and provider training to ensure that care is affirming and equitable. Our vision is to create a future where every family, especially those too often overlooked has access to healing-centered, culturally relevant mental health support that nurtures parents, strengthens children, and uplifts communities.

Our Story

Peaceful Minds Haven (PMH) was created to support mothers and families within historically marginalized communities in finding healing, resources, and the knowledge to self-advocate.
Our journey began with our CEO, who, after giving birth in 2023, faced severe maternal morbidity, enduring complications, emergency surgery, and a difficult battle with postpartum depression. Feeling compelled to stay silent, fearing it might hinder her ability to help others, she ultimately found her voice and healing through Peaceful Minds Haven.

PMH stands as a vital resource for advancing wellness, mental health awareness, and holistic care. We’re dedicated to breaking down stigmas and barriers to quality care by blending advocacy, education, and a holistic approach to mental health and wellness.
Our work emphasizes postpartum support, anxiety, depression, and racial equity in healthcare.
Our team comprises mothers who have personally experienced incompetent medical care, struggles with fibroids, infertility, endometriosis, and postpartum challenges. These lived experiences, combined with years of reproductive justice professional expertise, enables us to create meaningful and empathetic support structures for those we serve.
We aim to inspire diverse groups and potential donors to join us in reshaping mental health care and promoting mental and maternal health for all.
